Account Coordinator Position

SMACK! Media is seeking a dynamic, ambitious, and highly organized individual to act as Account Coordinator. Recent college graduates with communications, public relations, marketing and social media marketing degrees and/or related internship experience are preferred. Exceptional analytical and communication skills, time management expertise, and a passion for marketing, social media and public relations are necessary to thrive in this position.

The Account Coordinator will support all account managers in administrative duties and coordination and execution of marketing, public relations and social media campaigns.

Account Coordinator responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


    • Researching industry trends and client related market data and news
    • Drafting outlines and copy for blogs, websites, media kits, and marketing collateral
    • Contributing ideas and feedback for marketing strategy and activation of campaigns
    • Contributing feedback for branding campaigns and design oriented projects

Public Relations

  • Developing media lists for press outreach and client communication
  • Drafting press releases, pitches and media materials for clients
  • Securing print, online and social media coverage for clients through targeted media outreach and pitching
  • Communicating directly with press and digital influencers on behalf of SMACK! Media and clients
  • Tracking, recording and presenting reports for all press coverage and mentions, inclusive of learning and utilizing tracking software

Social Media/Influencer Campaigns

  • Manage current Ambassador lists for our clients, including developing lists of potential ambassadors across varying markets and clients (make sure all contact info and actual list is up to date)
  • Use social media tracking software and social media platforms to check in on recent posts from all Influencers and outlets
  • Support the execution and tracking of social media campaigns for clients
  • Assist with developing plans for digital promotions and campaigns, alongside tracking engagement and overall success

Account Coordination

  • Attending key meetings and calls and tracking notes and action items
  • Preparing meeting agendas and scheduling client and client related calls
  • Managing ship lists and tracking for clients
  • Supporting account management team with additional tasks as needed
