SMACK! Perspective on PR: Eli Speaks on USD “Careers in Sports Panel” and SportRx Launches New Website

On Thursday Eli had the honor of sitting on the University of San Diego “Careers in Sports” Panel in association with their MBA program. The panel included Tracy Lamb (Director, United States Olympic Committee), Matt Hiler (Director of Licensing and Business Development, Skinit) and Shaney Fink (Senior Associate Director of Athletics at USD). The panel was moderated by Dan Bruton, president of SportRx, who led the discussion for MBA students interested in careers in sports and sports related fields.  Eli loved sharing her passion and experience with the students in attendance and included some touching stories about the lessons she learned from worldwide travels with her father and global soccer legends (check out SMACK!’s first blog post) that pertain to building relationships as the key to a successful career. The session ended with a period of networking where Eli enjoyed getting to know the student’s and building what she has coined as Public Relation(ship)s ®.

That same day Dan, Morgan and Eli were involved with the launch of the brand new SportRx website that is unlike anything the eyewear industry has seen. We are so excited to be working with them! SportRx, which creates sport specific prescription lenses to fit top performance frames and styles, puts the customer in the driver’s seat to narrow the gap between him or her and an optician during the shopping experience.
