Congratulations to Zamst athlete Amy Hastings who punched her ticket to the Rio Olympics by winning the Olympic Trials Marathon in a time of 2:28:20! This victory comes as redemption for Cragg who finished a heartbreaking 4th place in the 2012 Olympic Marathon Trials and barely missed making the 2012 Olympic team. Her career is on the upswing thanks to a new training group (Bowerman TC), home base (Portland) and an arsenal of injury prevention tools from Zamst to keep her healthy, “Over the years I have dealt with IT Band syndrome, Achilles Tendinitis and plantar fasciitis,” said Cragg. “The mobile compression + ice braces along with the AT-1 Achilles support product and the RK-1 IT Band support have helped me recover faster and keep training when injuries arise. Zamst has been a huge help with injury prevention and support!”

Many of us at SMACK! Media are runners ourselves and we all are fans, so we sat glued to the TV watching the best U.S. distance runners (including many of our friends and teammates) compete head to head. It was especially inspiring to watch Amy and her teammate Shalane Flanagan work as a team and help each other through rough patches. Read the heart warming story from The New York Times here.

Amy is part of Zamst’s all-star athlete line-up that includes Superbowl MVP Vonn Miller and 2015 NBA MVP Steph Curry.
